At Snuggle n’ Stride, we are committed to providing safe, humane, and positive walking experiences for your dog. We use force-free handling methods based on trust, patience, and science-backed training techniques. Our approach ensures that every walk is enjoyable, stress-free, and beneficial for your dog’s well-being.

Our Approach to Force-Free Walking

  • We prioritize positive reinforcement, including treats, toys, and praise, to encourage good leash manners and confidence.

  • We require the use of properly fitting harnesses for all dogs. We do not walk dogs using pinch collars, choke collars, or leashing via collar, as these tools can cause discomfort, fear, and potential injury.

  • We focus on sniffing, engagement, and enrichment-based walks, rather than just covering distance.

  • We practice proactive methods to avoid interactions with off-leash dogs, such as crossing the street, throwing treats away from us to distract approaching off-leash dogs, or using mace-free citronella spray if an off-leash dog comes into contact with us.

2x Weekly walk minimum

At Snuggle n’ Stride, we ask for at least two walks per week because consistency is pure magic for your pup. Regular visits help your dog build a real bond with their walker — the kind of “oh hey, that’s my buddy!” excitement that makes every outing smoother, safer, and way more fun. Dogs feel calmer when they know what to expect, and a steady routine means we can truly learn their quirks, favorite sniff-spots, and what pace makes their tail do that happy helicopter thing. It also helps us plan our routes so we’re always showing up for your dog with the time, energy, and care they deserve. Two walks a week = a happier pup, a smoother schedule, and the most joyful little strides around the block.

Meet & Greets

A wonderful opportunity to build trust with your pup(s)! We’ll get a chance to learn your dog’s personality, energy level, and any specific needs they might have (on-leash tendencies, medical conditions, social preferences). It’s also a chance to review requests n’ expectations, chat about the walking route, and review our walk policies.
