Meet our pack
At Snuggle n’ Stride, we believe every interaction with your pet is a chance to celebrate their unique personality. Our team is dedicated to Positive Reinforcement Only, which means we focus on catching your pet doing something great and rewarding them for it!
We are a group of passionate caregivers who choose kindness, science-based methods, and lots of intentional care to ensure your pet feels safe, confident, and loved every second we are together.
Our "Yes!" Philosophy
We lead with encouragement because we love seeing tails wag, purrs echo, and spirits soar! Our approach is built on:
Joyful Rewards: Using your pet’s favorite treats, toys, and praise to build lasting confidence.
Empowerment: Giving your pet choices that help them feel secure and successful in their environment.
Connection: Focusing on the bond between human and animal to create a partnership based on mutual respect.
CC
Dog walker and Drop-In caregiver (they/them)
When caring for animals, my approach is based on the belief that every animal has a special, unique personality and needs which I strive to understand and cater to. My care for pets is built on a foundation of kindness and respect for them. I love working with cats, dogs and chickens, with a special place in my heart for any senior animals, especially the little ones! In my experience with pets, I’ve found I have a knack for working with the anxious babies and those who need a little extra encouragement!
I’ve worked as a pet sitter and dog walker going back to 2017, and have always had cats and dogs of my own. In my time as a sitter, I’ve worked with solo pups, to households with multiple dogs, cats and chickens under my care all at the same time. I’ve grown my skill set through guided training, working experience and careful observation of animals in and outside of my care. This work matters to me because our pets are such a vital part of our worlds, and I aim to do work that supports these amazing creatures who make life so special! In my care for your sweet pal, I strive to become a regular part of their routines and lives, all while learning the facets of your pets personality that make them special and unique! I currently serve central Seattle neighborhoods, which include Capitol Hill, Madrona, Central District, Leschi and north Beacon Hill.
Outside of pet care, I have a dedication to life long learning, with my favorite subjects being art and history. I have a great love for vintage and ancient history, as well as a deep interest in anthropology.
Jennifer
Overnight pet sitter (she/her)
Hi! My name is Jennifer. I’m very excited to be a part of the team at SnS.
I can’t say when I first fell in love with animals because they’ve always been in my life. We always had cats and a dog. Almost as soon as I moved out I got two cats; Mark and Chuck. Fast forward to my first dog as an adult. Ozborne. My soul dog. A big beautiful German Shepherd who was a lot. Mostly because I didn’t know what I was doing! His training led me
to my career as a Dog Trainer. I started as an apprentice for two years and then became a full time trainer and teacher which I did for 3 years until my first child was born. I kept training in my own business through raising two children, working with family pets and teaching classes in the community. Over the years my philosophy around interacting with, teaching and training pets has evolved from how I was taught. Now I prefer a more calm and positive approach. I am much more attuned to body language and taking cues from animals’ personality and adjusting my behavior accordingly vs forcing a behavior from any animal through fear or intimidation. This is where the true bond is created. This is where I find the real joy in being with animals.
I have lots of experience caring for other pets such as chickens, birds, lizards, fish and ferrets. I am also experienced in caring for animals that need extra care such as medication. (Pills and shots)
I live and work in the greater Seattle area but can work in the North Seattle/Shoreline/Kenmore area as well. When I’m not working I love to throw the ball (endlessly) for Angus, work in my yard, spend time with friends and am currently stretching my legs as a budding writer.
I am looking forward to adding your pets to the list of animals I care for as my own.
Leo
Owner, Manager, and Operations (he/they)
My journey with animals began in a home of fosters, dogs, cats, horses, birds, and reptiles—lifelong bonds that led me to volunteer with adoption organizations as early as high school. After years of working as a teacher, I’ve transitioned my passion for education into a professional pet care business, offering force-free/fear-free dog walking, drop-in care, and pet sitting. My background in the classroom allows me to bring incredible patience and clear communication to every pet I visit, ensuring they feel supported and successful.
My commitment to positive reinforcement is deeply personal. I aspire to get certified as a force-free trainer at some point. Until then. I’m passionate about offering empathy, structure, and kindness to build trust with every pet in my care, celebrating their unique personalities every step of the way.
Outside of pet care, I’m a musician, playing and studying guitar performance and music education on the collegiate level. I also enjoy deepening my connection with nature and meditation. Additionally, I enjoy learning about Black, Brown, and Indigenous history; I’m grateful how it’s helped re-evaluate my own worldview and check my biases as a white male-passing person.
